NEAR - FIELD ANTENNAS

A near-field antenna uses inductive coupling which means that it uses a magnetic field to energize the RFID tag. Near-field antennas are typically less rugged than far-field antennas and usually intended for indoor environments. As near-field antennas are less commonly used, there are limited options available for deployment.

  • A1030 Near Field/Short Range UHF RFID Antenna

Part of the SlimLine range of proximity / near field antennas, and with its ultra-low profile and unique size / surface design, the A1030 is a world first for the UHF near field antenna market. Offering the world’s largest working surface in a near field antenna, and at just 6.5 mm / 0.25 in. thick, the A1030 is opening up new possibilities for item level RFID tracking where a short range read is required. The A1030 antenna offers outstanding near field performance in an unique and optimised footprint, improving workflow and eliminating stray tag-reads. Highly durable, with flexible and easy mounting options, and with a fire retardant Kydex radome, the A1030 is a rugged performer - and as the largest and thinnest near field antenna around - the A1030 packs a sizeable punch in the world of UHF antennas.

  • A1001 Near Field/Short Range UHF RFID Antenna

In wideband near field UHF antenna segment the A1001 is the smallest antenna available commercially. It has a read distance from 0 to 10 cm. Near field RFID is traditionally carried out using HF and not UHF technology. Still the benefit with A1001 is that with this short range antenna, the same underlying UHF RFID infrastructure (tags and readers) can be used for long range and reading multiple tags at once and for POS and security when you only want to read one tag at a time.

  • Impinj Mini-Guardrail Antenna

Impinj Mini-Guardrail Antenna is specifically designed for item level deployments and reads effectively at a distance of 7.5mm or less. An ideal choice for ticketing, high speed encoding stations, packaging lines, or any application requiring high reliability and a constrained read zone.

  • Impinj Matchbox Antenna

Impinj Matchbox Antenna is a near field antenna for item level tracking systems that require reading tags at distances up to 5cm. Typical applications consists of access control, ticketing, document control, high-speed encoding stations, packaging lines, and any situation that requires high reliability with a constrained read zone.
